New to Harbor

Your first visit should feel clear, calm, and easy.

We will guide you through what to bring, what to expect, and how to help your pet feel more comfortable.

What to expect

We keep first visits simple and unrushed.

Your visit starts with a conversation. We review your pet’s history, listen to your concerns, and answer questions before making recommendations.

Then we complete an exam, explain what we find in plain language, and walk through the next steps together.

Helpful to bring

What to bring to your first visit

  • Previous medical records, vaccine history, or recent lab work
  • A list of medications, supplements, or preventives
  • Notes about symptoms or recent changes in behavior, appetite, or energy
  • Your pet in a secure carrier or on a leash

Common questions

A few things new clients often ask

How early should I arrive?

About 10 minutes early is ideal for a first visit.

What if I do not have prior records yet?

That is okay. We can still get started and help request records if needed.

Can I call before booking if I am unsure?

Absolutely. Call us and we will help guide you.

What if my pet needs urgent care?

If your pet is stable but needs prompt attention, call us first. We will help you decide whether same-day care or emergency care is the better choice.
